“Danielle has a true gift for connecting with people, especially children, and specifically preteens and teenagers. Danielle is a natural in the classroom, a lifelong learner, curious about the world and open to new ideas and thoughts, and a scientist! She is sharp as a tack, committed, works hard, and has a great sense of humor.” - Danielle’s colleague

Meet Danielle P. (she/her)! While initially drawn to science research, her passion pivoted during her senior year toward teaching science to others. Danielle graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in biology. With a diverse background, she ventured into various realms of education, serving as a naturalist at a county park, humane educator at an animal shelter, curriculum writer, and classroom teacher. Danielle's multifaceted experience brings a unique set of skills to the teaching arena. Her educational evolution continued with Montessori Secondary training, centered around understanding adolescent brain science as a driving force in classroom decision-making. This transformative training reshaped Danielle's perspective on education. Danielle has dedicated several years to teaching math and science at the middle and high school levels, subjects she tutors with Tutor Corps. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys reading books, hiking with her family, creating pottery, or enjoying quiet moments with her dog.
