Leadership Team Feature: Rebecca Klouwers

After working with Rebecca for over a year, we’re so pleased to welcome her to the team officially as our wonderful new Outreach Director. With a passion for building relationships with our community and a keen eye for being detail-oriented, she truly fits right in!

Hailing from NYC with a background in theatre, her Off-Broadway credits include Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid (listen to a bit of her incredibly lovely singing voice here!). At home, she and her husband share their rescue pup, Harvey, and have a knack for creating restaurant quality meals out of their own kitchen.

Tutors help students build confidence.

Rebecca also loves to travel--read below for one of her favorite travel memories to date:

“One of my favorite memories was my first vacation with my (now) husband to Greece. We were on the island of Rhodes and rented an ATV so that we could explore places that were not touristy. We were trying to find a place for dinner and stumbled into this little town that somehow never got tourists. There was one loosely defined “restaurant” in the town and we decided to take a chance and asked if we could eat there. They served us a five-course feast! The only person that spoke any English was a teenage boy who translated everything for us and was so excited to talk with us. It was pretty magical and a really cool experience!”

Tutoring requires a range of overlapping skills, including academic, teaching, and people skills.

At Tutor Corps and our sister school, Pacific Preparatory, you can find Rebecca running the show every week, meeting with a variety of educational therapists, consultants, and other professionals, as well as parents. She also organizes and hosts all of our great webinars, open houses, runs our blog, and more! To connect with Rebecca directly, feel free to reach out to her at rebecca@tutorcorps.com.
